Cosmic Consciousness No. 15 - Of Them Bogies & Such

Late last night, beneath me bed,
I saw them wot lives in me 'ead,
'ow they escaped I cannot tell,
But I've regained me sense o' smell.

Who put them bogies in yo head,
What would fill others full o' dread?
That neighbor boy who watched wif glee,
As that web wove 'round bof you and he!

Sho Uncle Creepy was the start,
And Cousin Eerie played his part,
In formin' bogies in you head,
Its all them stories what you read.

Them tales o' werewolves, fiends and ghouls,
What comes from books not read in schools,
Instead o' games and fingerpaints,
Yo head were filled wif haunts and haints.

And a youngun should watch movies nice,
Not Legosi, Karloff, Lee and Price.
While Mr. Chicken made most cringe,
You was out there on the fringe.

Asittin' 'mongst a frightened crowd,
The Tingler made you laugh out loud!
And sho' you know there ain't no doubt,
Morgan's ass ain't comin' out!

Them pendulums and tell-tale hearts,
Is where you got them wicked smarts.
Them shadows dark and black lagoons,
Was little more than your cartoons!

Who put them bogies in yo head,
That now run 'round beneath yo bed?
From the books I see upon yo shelf,
I'd say you stuffed 'em in you'self!

Joseph's Balls, how ye shine!
But what's all that got to do with Nose Goblins?

In answer to yo querie, lemme 'splain:

I'm sittin' and thinkin', as I recollect,
'Tween bogies and boogies they's quite a connect.
Sit back and listen to the story I'm tellin',
'Bout the link 'tween them bogies
And yo nose what's now smellin'.

Them bogies they feed on them boogies at night,
That smeared smorgasbord is a terrible sight,
They's slurpin' and gnawin' and gnashin' o' teeth,
As them bogies lay into them boogies beneath.

Most bogies like boogies wif edges of crust,
And some bogies think that the gravy's a must,
Some feast on the swipe marks and pass on the rest,
And some bogies think that the red ones are best.

Green meanies or loogies or hairy cornflakes,
Them bogies just love what yo nose oven bakes.
So ignore all that gawkin' and be sho to save
That delectable, danglin' bat in the cave.

Oh bogies they feed on them boogies so bad,
Just like you did when you was a lad.
Rollin' 'em 'round 'tween yo index and thumb,
And into yo mouth like a small cookie crumb.

A nose gob may slide or bring tears to yo eyes,
But each finger-filled feast is a boogie surprise.
So in wif the digit and out wif delight,
The Pick and Wipe Diner is open tonight!

You're not one of those people who picks his nose in bed and wipes his finger on the boxsprings, are you? I leave mine under the pillow.
