I paid a visit to the chemist today in search of a Ronco back-waxing kit (the Bax Wax, as seen on TV). The music being piped from the ceiling was nothing less than absolute aural perfection, even taking into account that it was half of the stereo mix from a single tiny speaker, which really doesn't matter a whit when one is greeted with the song unexpectedly. It was The Beatles' Hello Goodbye, which just may be the perfect pop song. It never fails to send a chill down my baby-smooth spine, even after almost forty years.

I always thought the perfect pop song was hot child in the city by nick gilder. I know what you mean about the ronco waxer though. I use mine on my fanny at least twice a week.
Perfect song = Strawberry Fields Forever. Nuff said.
I won't argue with that! And I won't exclude "Walrus" either. Just depends on which one I'm hearing at any given thyme. Who ever said there couldn't be three perfect pop songs?
"oops, I did it again."
